Built for Texas.
Built on Trust.
The Texas Home Service Alliance exists because homeowners deserve a better way to find and hire contractors - one built on verified credentials, honest reviews, and zero lead-selling games.
The directory Texas homeowners actually deserve.
The home services industry has a trust problem. The national lead platforms built their businesses by selling the same homeowner's contact information to multiple contractors, triggering bidding wars, spam calls, and a race to the bottom on quality. Homeowners lost. Good contractors lost. Only the platforms won.
THSA was founded in 2022 by Texas contractors and homeowners who had lived both sides of this problem. Our model is simple: verify every contractor, charge contractors a flat annual fee, and connect homeowners directly without selling their information to anyone.
We operate exclusively in Texas because we believe a great directory is built on local knowledge. We know which license types are required for which trades, which weather events affect which regions, and how to verify credentials against the Texas state databases that matter.

Our Four Core Values
Verification First
Every contractor in our directory is license-checked, insurance-verified, and background-screened before they receive any THSA badge. We don't list anyone we wouldn't call ourselves.
No Lead Selling
We refuse to sell homeowner information to multiple contractors simultaneously. When you contact a pro through THSA, your information goes to that business and that business only.
Texas-Rooted
We verify credentials against Texas state licensing databases, understand Texas climate demands, and price our service for Texas markets - not a national template pasted over Texas.
Community Accountability
Reviews on THSA are verified against actual service relationships. We investigate complaints and remove contractors who do not meet our standards - period.
What THSA Actually Checks
Our verification process is performed by our team - not automated, not outsourced. Here is exactly what we verify before awarding any THSA badge.
Texas State License Verification
We check the contractor's license number against the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and any trade-specific boards. License must be active, in good standing, and cover the work they are listed for.
Insurance Certificate Review
We require a current Certificate of Insurance showing general liability coverage of at least $1 million per occurrence and workers' compensation. We verify the certificate directly with the issuing carrier.
Background Check
We run a commercial background check on the business owner and any listed principal through a licensed consumer reporting agency. Contractors with relevant criminal history within the past 7 years are not listed.
Business Legitimacy Verification
We verify the business has a physical Texas presence, a valid business registration with the Texas Secretary of State, and at least one year of documented operating history before awarding a Verified or Certified Pro badge.
Annual Re-Verification
Badges are not permanent. All credentials are re-verified annually and any lapse in insurance or license results in immediate badge removal until reinstatement is confirmed.
