Effective Date: April 15, 2026

Texas Home Service Alliance ("THSA," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard data when you use our website and directory services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Information you provide directly - When you submit a contact form, request a quote from a contractor, register as a contractor, or otherwise communicate with us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message.
  • Contractor registration data - When a contractor registers a business listing, we collect business name, contact details, trade category, license number, insurance information, and related business credentials.
  • Usage data - We automatically collect standard log data when you visit our site, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. This data is used solely for site analytics and security.
  • Cookies and similar technologies - We use cookies to remember your preferences and understand how visitors use the site. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function properly as a result.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles or share it with lead-generation networks.

3. How We Share Your Information

THSA does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers - We may engage trusted vendors (e.g., email delivery, analytics, payment processors) who access data only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.

  • Business transfers - In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the same privacy protections described here.

4. Contractor Listing Information

Business information that contractors submit to create or claim a THSA listing - including business name, trade category, phone number, website, city, and certification status - is displayed publicly on the THSA directory. This is the core purpose of the service and contractors consent to this public display upon registration.

Homeowner-submitted quote request details (name, email, phone, project description) are shared directly with the contractor you are contacting. THSA does not store these messages beyond the period necessary to deliver them.

5. Cookies

We use first-party cookies for session management and preference storage. We may use third-party analytics tools (such as privacy-respecting analytics platforms) to understand aggregate traffic patterns. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse new cookies, delete existing cookies, or be notified when a new cookie is set.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Contractor account data is retained for the duration of the account and for a reasonable period thereafter. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us (see Section 9).

7. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
